Live Score was performed in May 2018 at Cais Novo, Porto, Portugal, within an event-party that encompassed a multiplicity of acts, from music bands, djs, live video projections, sculpture installation to an electronic music jam and lots of dancing.
The following text was handed out to the audience before the performance.
Building an endless task-based score on personal listening, action-thinking and challenge.
One gathers various materials and finds connections between them. (NO)/Structure is explored by playing around different ways of organising and interrogating ideas.
One focuses on mobilizing through listening to needs and action takes place. Movements start to blend with each other, finding links. Moving from the senses and translating action-thinking. A call for action, triggering will to move.
Once this state is found, one finds comfort. Further development and newness comes when the mover challenges this same place, bringing surprise elements that provoke change, by surprising oneself. Acknowledging the need to delve into the unknown is what will keep the mover going forward and [so] to keep on moving.
